Introduction

The Red Rili Shrimp is a distinctive and attractive variant of the Neocaridina davidi species, known for its unique coloration. These shrimp typically have a clear or white body with striking red markings on the head and tail. They grow to about 1-1.5 inches (2.5-3.8 cm) in length and are popular among aquarium enthusiasts for their eye-catching appearance and hardy nature.

Red Rili Shrimp are social creatures and should be kept in groups of at least 10-20 individuals to encourage natural behavior. They are peaceful and can be housed with other non-aggressive tank mates, such as small fish, snails, or other shrimp species. Their unique coloration and active foraging make them a lively and attractive addition to any freshwater aquarium.

Substrate: Fine gravel or sand is ideal, allowing the shrimp to forage comfortably.

Plants: Live plants such as Java moss, Anubias, and moss balls are beneficial as they provide hiding spots and surfaces for biofilm growth, which the shrimp feed on.
