Medicine Mr Green for White Spot

Introduction

It is a highly contagious condition and can spread quickly through an aquarium, affecting many fish.

For effective treatment, products like “Mr Green” likely include malachite green or formalin, both of which are commonly used in the aquarium hobby for treating Ich. Malachite green, in particular, is known to disrupt the life cycle of the parasite at various stages, especially when it is free-swimming. Copper sulfate can also be used alongside other treatments, but care must be taken with the dosage, as it can harm fish if used incorrectly. To treat Ich, its essential to raise the water temperature slightly, as this accelerates the parasite’s life cycle, making it more vulnerable to treatments.
