Natural Habitat and Ideal Tank Conditions

The Snow Zebra Sulawesi Shrimp originates from Lake Towuti and other ancient lakes of Sulawesi, known for their crystal-clear waters, unique biodiversity, and mineral-rich substrates. To mimic their natural habitat, we recommend:

• Temperature: 78 – 86F (25 – 30C)

• pH: 7.5 – 8.5

• KH: 3 – 8

• TDS: 150 – 250

• Minimum Tank Size: 10 gallons (recommended colony setup for best results)

• Filtration & Flow: A sponge filter or gentle flow to maintain pristine water conditions

• Lighting: Moderate to high, as Sulawesi shrimp are accustomed to well-lit environments

• Substrate & Hardscape: Fine sand, smooth stones, and mineral-rich materials to encourage biofilm growth

Feeding and Diet

Snow Zebra Sulawesi Shrimp are omnivorous and require a well-balanced diet to maintain their vibrant coloration and health. Their diet should include:

• Blanched Vegetables (such as cucumber and zucchini)

• Protein Supplements (like freeze-dried or frozen brine shrimp and daphnia, fed occasionally)

• Indian Almond Leaves or Botanicals (to enhance their environment and provide supplemental nutrition)

Tank Mates and Compatibility

The Snow Zebra Sulawesi Shrimp thrives in a species-only or Sulawesi-themed setup. These shrimp are best kept in a dedicated tank with:

• Other Sulawesi Shrimp Species (e.g., Cardinal Shrimp, White Orchid Shrimp)

• Sulawesi Snails (Rabbit Snails, Tylomelania species)
